Israel Shipyards Launches Newbuild OPV S-45
Israel Shipyards has announced the launch of Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) S-45.

After several months of construction at our facilities the OPV S-45 was launched and sets sail for the first time. The S-45 is cost-effective OPV, designed for coastal protection, as well as drilling rigs, and offshore facilities protection". stated by the company offcials on its social media handle.
The OPV 45 is designed for a wide range of naval, para-military and HLS missions. It enables open sea patrol and surveillance and supports a wide variety of offshore missions such as the protection of facilities and EEZs, anti-terror/smuggling/illegal activity interdiction, intervention force boarding/landing, close-range naval combat operations, and enhanced search and rescue missions. The OPV 45 can also be equipped for minimizing illegal immigration transits, fishing protection and control, and anti-pollution activities.
Israel Shipyards is one of the largest shipbuilding and repair facilities in the eastern Mediterranean, has been providing seaworthy solutions for the Naval and commercial marine markets.
