Delivery of M18 Fast Assault Boat, designed and built by MARSUN for the Royal Thai Navy Special Warfare Group
The M18 Fast Assault Boat is designed and built by MARSUN Shipyard Thailand. A total of four ships were delivered to the Royal Thai Navy Special Warfare Group.
The hull design of the M18 is very low draught, has a long endurance, a high speed of more than 40 knots, and is very maneuverable. These are unique features that distinguish the M18 as a superior standard platform for all missions. This type of vessel will be used to meet operational requirements such as rapid insertion and exsertion of fully equipped special operations forces into and out of combat areas, protection of territorial waters, law enforcement at littoral waters and high seas, protection of ports, rivers, off-shore and in-shore facilities, surveillance and reconnaissance, and search and rescue operations.
