Himalaya Shipping’s Two Newbuild 210,000 dwt LNG powered Bulk Carriers launched at New Times Shipyard
On November 5, 2022, the launching ceremony of two units of 210,000 DWT Bulk Carriers bearing builder's hull nos.0120833 and 0120834 has been carried out successfully by New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The two vessels, named Mount Norefjell and Mount Ita, are the first two vessels from a series of twelve newcastlemax dry bulk vessels under construction at the yard.
The Chairman Mr. Yuan Kaifei, CEO Mr. Liu Haijin, Executive General Manager Mr. Zhang Yuyong of New Times Shipyard were present alongside the representatives from Himalaya Shipping's site manager Mr. Davor Radic together with his site members. The representatives ABS classification society also attended and witnessed the ceremony together.
Himalaya Shipping is a new player in the dry bulk market, having 12 dual fueled Newcastlemax dry bulk vessels under construction.
