Ultrabulk took delivery of the last of three sister vessels

news-details

Ultrabulk took delivery of the last of three sister vessels built together with the company's long-term business partners Imabari Shipbuilding facilitated by Mitsui & Co.

The first vessel MV Ultra Virtue, was delivered in September, the second MV Ultra Reliance was delivered in October, and the third MV Ultra Spirit just completed her sea trials and was delivered on November 10.

As so many times before the first voyage for a Japanese newbuilding under Ultrabulk employment is a trip via Vancouver to load potash for our long-term partners Canpotex, and MV Ultra Spirit is no exception. The three vessels are all 63,000 dwt Ultramax’es.

Since year 2000 Ultrabulk has taken delivery of 78 vessels from our Japanese partners, and we keep going strong with more orders already in place!.
