SBM Offshore, ExxonMobil sings MoU for the construction of another Guyana FPSO
SBM Offshore has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ExxonMobil Guyana for construction of a multi-purpose floater hull for use on a future floating production storage and offloading FPSO project.
Company stated in that ExxonMobil and SBM Offshore have a long history of working together, with multiple FPSO projects underway.
There are currently two FPSOs in operation in ExxonMobil's Stabroek block offshore Guyana - the Liza Destiny and the Liza Unity - both delivered by SBM Offshore.
The FPSO is based on SBM Offshore’s Fast4Ward® program that incorporates the Company’s new build, multi-purpose floater hull combined with several standardized topsides modules. The FPSO are designed to produce 250,000 barrels of oil per day, have associated gas treatment capacity of 450 million cubic feet per day and water injection capacity of 300,000 barrels per day. The FPSO is spread moored in water depth of about 1,800 meters and will be able to store around 2 million barrels of crude oil.
