The 60 years’ legacy of Cummins India is firmly built on innovation, excellence, and dependability and the company is proud to add another incredible chapter to the story of powering India.

On January 13, 2023, the world has witnessed the flag-off of the world's longest river journey aboard “Antara Ganga Vilas” by our Hon. Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, in Varanasi. The ship is powered by our NTA855 DM 300 KVA genset and propelled by Cummins KTA19 (500 BHP@1800 rpm) engine.

MV Ganga Vilas is a 62 meter-long and 12 meter-wide sturdy vessel, with the capacity to house 36 guests and 40 crew members. It undertakes a 51-day journey of 3,600 kilometers across India and Bangladesh, covering five states, 27 rivers, and 50 tourist spots. It is the fifth ship for Antara Luxury River Cruises and is handcrafted by B N Bose Shipyard in Kolkata.

The vessel is a testament to India’s infrastructural transformation and resilience. “We, at Cummins India, are inspired by this achievement and are committed to being an integral part of India’s growth journey”, stated company officials in the statement.
