Paris – GTT, the technological expert in membrane containment systems dedicated to the transport and storage of liquefied gases, announces the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), a giant of shipbuilding in China, on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the Marintec China international exhibition.

The agreement provides for cooperation between GTT and twelve subsidiaries of the CSSC group, particularly in the areas of design and construction of new ships, cryogenic confinement technologies for LNG, LNG fuel and even smart shipping solutions .

As part of this agreement, GTT and CSSC aim to develop and market competitive solutions for the storage and transport of LNG using GTT technologies. This initiative extends to all types of vessels, including container ships, bulk carriers, tankers and LNG-powered ro-ro vessels. This cooperation also aims to optimize the engineering of LNG carriers, particularly on capacities from 175,000 m³ to 270,000 m³, of the latest generation LNG ships and offshore platforms (FLNG and FSRU).

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared : “  This cooperation agreement signed with CSSC marks a crucial step in our development strategy in China. Together, we will explore opportunities for innovation and strengthen our position in an ever-changing maritime sector.  »

As a reminder, the shipyards Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Co., Jiangnan Shipyard Co., Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co. are among the subsidiaries of the CSSC group authorized to implement GTT technologies within the framework of licensing and technical support agreements.
